The organization referred to as “the alumni board” is technically the Gamma Xi Housing Corporation—a non-profit California corporation with three high-level goals:

  • To own, maintain and improve the Gamma Xi chapter house for member residence and chapter activities.
  • To build brotherhood among actives and alumni of Gamma Xi chapter and all Theta Chis living in the bay area.
  • To help the chapter develop good brothers and exemplify the assisting hand by providing advice, counsel and support.

The corporation’s officers are elected every other year at the homecoming meeting, and it is currently led by president Micah Harrel, vice-president Ned Laugharn, treasurer Mark Atkinson, and secretary Greg Barr. The housing corporation is a volunteer organization with a mailing address of 901 Campisi Way, Campbell, CA 95008.

We have achieved critical mass with about a dozen other brothers pitching in in various capacities, and to improve our ability to meet these responsibilities we’re formalizing three committees with discrete roles and responsibilities. These committees are described below. If you’re interested in helping out, email micah@thetachisjsu.com.
